In the second grade students become more aware of the idea that all things made by people reflect a creative decision. They learn that artists of various cultures have made contributions to our art heritage. They are encouraged to make purposeful use of elements and principals of design to enhance their personal expression in art. They are asked to demonstrate skillful and appropriate use of tools and materials.
